St. Louis Cardinals Book for my Niece

I know its been a while since I lasted posted.  I started on a Graphic 45 project and then got sick.  I really hate being sick, I just don't have any energy or insight.

I received an invitation to my nieces baby shower so I needed to get busy.  My niece is having a baby boy after having two girls.  Her shower is being held this weekend in St. Louis at her new home.  Since I live in Phoenix and will be traveling quite a bit this year, I couldn't make it to the shower.  I asked her if they had a theme for Timothy Patrick Jr. and she said the St. Louis Cardinals.  I found some digi paper on Etsy and ran off the pages on my Epson R1900.  The bird on the front was cut at my LSS using a Zing cutter and the baseball teams logo.  I then painted it with acrylic paint and used Glossy Accents on the black outline.  I used my Cricut Baseball cart, Everyday Paper Dolls cart, and Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cart all in CCR.  I included some stickers that I purchased also.  I will be mailing it to her tomorrow along the with gift card holder card that I made.  I made the envelop for it using my new Envelop Punch Board.  So far so good with the board.  I hope you enjoy it.

This is the inside of the gift card holder card.  It's not the best picture but I couldn't get it to stand up to show the inside.  Basically, you cut a piece of cardstock 11" X 5".  Score at 3 3/4", 5 1/2", and 7 1/4".  Fold to look like a "W".  Scor tape the edges only (should look like a big U) and seal.  Measure the size of your gift card and make small incisions.  Then score 1/8" along the edge, between the two incisions only.  Cut away the scored card stock.  This will leave you with an opening to insert your gift card.  I hope that these instructions are clear.

This is the front of the book.  I cut out his first name in CCR on flags (I don't remember which cart I used) then adhered them with ribbon to look like a banner.  I used the Cinch coil to bind the book.

This is the front of the card.  The stamp is from CTMH.  I smudged some ink on the front so I covered it with a bow.

I used the baseball diamond cut to hold covered chipboard pieces.

This cut was from the Baseball cart.

More covered chipboard for pictures and journaling.  I found the Cardinals logo online and printed it to cover the little flag in the corner.

This is inside the front of the book.  Cut from Baseball again.

I used the cutouts from the Baseball cart to cover the front on the tag.  The back can be used for a picture or journaling.

The card frame from Baseball.  I adhered some ribbon and used a Queen and Co. star inside the star cutout.

More Queen and Co. embellishments.  Since he has two sisters at home, I used two yellow flowers to represent them in the Home Team!

I made a pocket to hold more covered chipboard.  Embellished with stickers that I popped.

Again with two yellow pinwheels to give his sisters some representation.

I used Everyday Paper Dolls to cut out this little guy at 4".  I love this page.

Some ribbon embellishment.

Rookie of the Year sticker and embellishments for the newest member.

The pitcher was cut using Baseball.

One of my favorite pages.  I used Baseball to cut out the slider and stickers to embellish

Not crazy about the puffy paint but couldn't take it off without ruining the page.

I made a belly band, added the bat sticker, and popped a painted/decorated chipboard circle to hold the covered chipboard.  I upcycled a coffee cup band and used it as a pull on the chipboard.

Beach Mini Book

I thought I would continue with the mini books since I seem to enjoy it so much.  This mini is made with Authentique papers, stickers, stamps (Unity & Authentique got together and Rubbernecker), then a little sand, seashells, and starfish from Michaels.  I used the Cinch to make the holes and one of their 1" coils.  I like the looks of the coil but I sure didn't like putting it together.  They aren't as easy as the wires.  Hope you like it.

Inside the front cover is a little pocket with a journaling card. The embellies were the stamp set from Unity/Authentique that go with this line of paper.

On the front cover, I used a little "The Rubber Cafe" glue to put the sand down.  When it dried, I coated the sand with PVA to keep it from rubbing off.  I then hot glued the seashells and starfish on.

A covered chipboard for a picture and journaling on the back.  I held it in with a belly band and pop dotted the sticker to hold it up.

I cut out one of the cards from the paper line and used it as a pocket to hold the cut out postcards from the line.  I glued the postcards to white card stock to be used as journaling or for pictures.

This page has two picture holders and embellished with stickers.

I made an open pocket to hold the covered chipboard.  Again it can be used for a picture and journaling on the back.  The nailhead was sanded and then painted with Magic Metallic.  I wanted a patina on the nailhead to seem like it has been in the sea air.

Page for a picture.

This stamp is from Rubbernecker.  I thought of an old timey boardwalk along the sea.

Page to put pics or ephemera on.

Another pocket with picture/journaling card.

This page was embellished with starfish.

Another belly band and pop dotted sticker to hold a picture/journaling card.

This page also has a pocket in between the two pages.

Page for a picture or ephemera.

A picture page.

This is the paper covered chipboard that goes between the two pages.  I loved the stamp of the fisherman from Rubbernecker.

Decorated page.

Dad's Birthday mini book

I was at my LSS the other day and saw this cute mini book designed for a man.  Well, my dear friend that I call Dad has a birthday coming up.  I decided to put my own spin on it and create the book for his birthday.  This is what I ended up with.  I used the Graphic 45 "A Proper Gentleman" line along with some embellishments that I purchased at the Scrapbook Expo.  I hope you like it.

The front cover has a pocket with a tag that I stamped with "Happy Birthday" and "the more Candles the bigger the Wish!".  The clock faces were purchased at Scrapbook Expo and the knobs and dials are Tim Holtz.

I covered chipboard so there was a place for a pic and journaling.  It is actually an insert that I placed into the cut out of a man pocket.

Inside the front cover is a pocket that I put his birthday card in.

Another pocket with a couple of tags.  The next page can be used to put a pic on or leave blank.

An open pocket with two journaling cards.

I couldn't resist making a colored tie for the man pointing.

Another clock face with embellishments added.

A spot for a picture.

The insert behind the car pocket was made with chipboard and washi tape..  I love how it turned out and the colors matched the papers.

Dad was my Area Manager for a few years in the FAA.  So we have a thing for planes.  This is a Tim Holtz stamp.  I stamped it on white card stock, cut it out, then put acrylic paint and glossy accents on it. I added it to the chipboard insert using foam dots.

I think I like this page the best.  It looks like a suit coat, white shirt, and tie.  But the collared shirt comes out of the pocket for pics and/or journaling.

The suit!

Valentine's Mini's

It's been a while since I posted anything.  I have been busy making a couple more mini books and shopping.  I went to the Scrapbook Expo in Anaheim, CA.  I got to meet Jodie R., a fellow Circlet, in the 2013 Trunk Show by Queen & Co.  Jodi R. is an absolute sweetie!  I don't think I have ever met anyone as nice as her.  Anyway, I spent way too much money but had a great time.  I fell in love with Gelato's by Faber Castell.  The Rubber Cafe had a set of 28 for the low price of $55.  I couldn't pass them up.  My LSS will be selling them for $5 a piece, so I told the hubby that I saved a lot of money!  LOL!  We have opened up a site, designsbytimme.com, and will be selling my books.  Hubby does woodworking, so we will be selling some of his work also.  I have also decided to sell a couple of scrapbooking items.  I haven't received them yet but will be selling Scor-tape, Graphic 45 packs, and hopefully I can find some of the tape for the ATG's at a reasonable price.

Here are the two Valentine's mini books that I made for our site.  I hope you like them and if you know anyone who is looking to buy, please send them my way.

This first mini is made with chipboard and Glitz papers.  Most of the embellishments are by Glitz also.  I didn't want it to be the typical red because everyone is different so I went with the gray, black, pink, and turquoise with a splash of red occasionally.

I also used the crocheted hearts in both books that I purchased from Tatiana.  Thanks, Tatiana, they worked great.

This mini was made by modifying a Cricut mini book in CCR.  All the pages are chipboard and covered with papers by various companies.  Most of the embellishments are by Crate.  I used grossgrain ribbon to bind the book.
