Dad's Birthday mini book

I was at my LSS the other day and saw this cute mini book designed for a man.  Well, my dear friend that I call Dad has a birthday coming up.  I decided to put my own spin on it and create the book for his birthday.  This is what I ended up with.  I used the Graphic 45 "A Proper Gentleman" line along with some embellishments that I purchased at the Scrapbook Expo.  I hope you like it.

The front cover has a pocket with a tag that I stamped with "Happy Birthday" and "the more Candles the bigger the Wish!".  The clock faces were purchased at Scrapbook Expo and the knobs and dials are Tim Holtz.

I covered chipboard so there was a place for a pic and journaling.  It is actually an insert that I placed into the cut out of a man pocket.

Inside the front cover is a pocket that I put his birthday card in.

Another pocket with a couple of tags.  The next page can be used to put a pic on or leave blank.

An open pocket with two journaling cards.

I couldn't resist making a colored tie for the man pointing.

Another clock face with embellishments added.

A spot for a picture.

The insert behind the car pocket was made with chipboard and washi tape..  I love how it turned out and the colors matched the papers.

Dad was my Area Manager for a few years in the FAA.  So we have a thing for planes.  This is a Tim Holtz stamp.  I stamped it on white card stock, cut it out, then put acrylic paint and glossy accents on it. I added it to the chipboard insert using foam dots.

I think I like this page the best.  It looks like a suit coat, white shirt, and tie.  But the collared shirt comes out of the pocket for pics and/or journaling.

The suit!
